Vuli’s Resolve: BLK Lavidi Seeks Redemption at Malake 7s

BLK Lavidi Brothers team captain Sefanaia Vuli is determined to rebound stronger as they participate in the Fiji Bitter Malake 7s tournament starting today. Following a challenging 10-0 defeat to Kadavu 7s champions Wardens Gold in the semi-finals over the weekend, Vuli maintains a positive outlook on their prospects in the ongoing series.

Vuli noted that all teams had limited preparation time but believes consistency will be crucial for success. “It was a tough defeat over the weekend, but it won’t diminish our hopes, as the Fiji Bitter Series has just begun,” stated Vuli. He emphasized that despite similar preparation constraints faced by all teams, their squad has maintained consistency throughout the week and is set to perform well in the competition.

The team has taken valuable lessons from their previous performance and is focused on enhancing their game in the upcoming matches. The Kadavu 7s provided a beneficial warm-up for the players, helping them get their legs moving and fine-tuning their strategies.

“The boys learned a lot last weekend, eliminating our mistakes and preparing for another challenging competition,” Vuli added. With no injuries reported within the squad, the team is fully equipped to tackle the challenges ahead and is keen to display their abilities on the field.

Vuli expressed his gratitude towards the team’s dedication and effort, which enabled them to reach the semi-finals. He is confident that the team will come back stronger and aims for victory in the Malake 7s.
