The Vuda Green rugby sevens team is set to compete in the Mick’s Fiji Tours & Transfers Vatulele 7s tournament, marking their second consecutive year participating. Having traveled from Lautoka, the team looks to gain valuable experience over the course of the two-day event.
Team manager Vatili Tora shared insights into their preparation, revealing that the squad dedicated three weeks to training for this tournament. Tora expressed their primary objective for the competition, stating they aim to reach the cup quarter-finals. He also emphasized the importance of support from the team’s families and supporters, which has contributed to their presence at Vatulele.
In the tournament, Vuda Green has been placed in Pool 5, alongside teams such as Wai Rugby Club 1, Lami Cavaliers, and JSF Malolo.
