The Vuda Green rugby sevens team is making its second consecutive trip to the island of Vatulele to compete in the Mick’s Fiji Tours & Transfers Vatulele 7s tournament, which kicks off today. Coming from Lautoka, the team is keen to gain valuable experience to enhance their performance in future competitions throughout Fiji.
Team manager Vatili Tora emphasized their extensive preparation for this tournament, revealing that the squad dedicated three weeks to practice and strategize. Tora expressed the team’s determination to advance to the cup quarter-finals, stating that they are committed to giving their best effort.
Additionally, Tora praised the unwavering support from the players’ families and supporters, acknowledging their crucial role in facilitating the team’s journey to Vatulele.
In this tournament, Vuda Green finds itself in Pool 5, set to face off against Wai Rugby Club 1, Lami Cavaliers, and JSF Malolo.
