Volleyball Trials Rescheduled: Stormy Weather Forces Change

Trials for the Suva Volleyball Association (SVA) ahead of the 2025 Fiji Volleyball Federation’s club championships have been rescheduled to tomorrow due to adverse weather conditions encountered on January 8. This change was communicated via the SVA’s official Facebook page.

The trials will take place in three sessions, allowing players from ten selected clubs to showcase their skills and compete for a chance to be selected. The first men’s session will occur tomorrow, January 11, from 7:30 AM to 9 AM at the USP Gym in Laucala Bay, Suva. Following this, the women’s session is set from 9:30 AM to 12 PM, and an additional men’s session will be held from 5 PM to 7 PM at Hall A of the Vodafone Arena in Suva.

Clubs represented during the trials include the Tamavua Bulls, USP, Naiqasiqasi Brothers, Avengers, Redline, Hanua Heat, Vision, Dateline Titans, Moskoi, and the Marines. The SVA has emphasized that attendance is essential for players aspiring to be selected for upcoming competitions, underscoring the importance of commitment to the trials.

These trials provide a significant opportunity for players, not only to demonstrate their talent but also to contribute to the overall growth and competitive nature of volleyball in Fiji.
