The Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation has committed $20,000 in support of the relief and recovery efforts in the wake of the recent devastating earthquake in Vanuatu. This significant contribution was formally given to Ravendra Chand, Chief Financial Officer of Vodafone Vanuatu, at the company’s headquarters in Tamavua, showcasing the Foundation’s strong commitment to aiding communities affected by crises through its Vodafone Red Alert (VRA) program.

The VRA program plays a vital role in the Foundation’s disaster response strategy, specifically aimed at assisting regions struck by natural calamities. This initiative reflects the Foundation’s unwavering focus on resilience, recovery, and the rebuilding of devastated communities. Ivan Fong, Chairman of the Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation, underscored the importance of a united response during challenging times. “Our support for Vanuatu shows our dedication to helping communities rebuild and recover from the destruction caused by the earthquake. This funding, approved by our Vodafone ATH Trustees, emphasizes the significance of regional collaboration and collective action,” he stated.
