Vodafone Fiji has successfully raised $10,000 through its Pinktober and Movember campaigns, which has been donated to the Fiji Cancer Society (FCS). This financial support, accumulated from various activities throughout October and November, aims to enhance the Society’s ongoing efforts in promoting cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment across the nation.
During the handover ceremony at the FCS headquarters in Suva, representatives from both organizations expressed their gratitude and hopes for positive community impact. Moureen Chand, Vodafone Fiji’s Chief Human Resources Officer, highlighted the significance of collective efforts in combatting cancer, stating, “Our Pinktober and Movember campaign has demonstrated the incredible impact that can be achieved through community and corporate collaboration.”
Belinda Chan, CEO of the Fiji Cancer Society, also expressed appreciation for Vodafone’s generous contribution, noting that it is instrumental in providing resources and support to those affected by cancer. She emphasized the importance of partnership in facing such challenges, asserting that “together, we can continue to make a positive impact in our community and help ensure that no one faces this battle alone.”
Vodafone Fiji’s initiative exemplifies its commitment to corporate social responsibility, aimed at fostering a healthier community through meaningful engagement and support for critical health causes.
This collaboration between a corporate entity and a health organization is a shining example of how businesses can positively influence their communities. It reflects a growing trend where corporate responsibility aligns with societal needs, hoping to foster even more partnerships that can lead to substantial change.
