Vodafone Fiji has donated $10,000, which was raised during its Pinktober and Movember campaign, to the Fiji Cancer Society (FCS). The funds were collected through various initiatives organized over both months, with the aim of enhancing the Society’s ongoing efforts in cancer awareness, prevention, and treatment throughout the nation.

A handover ceremony took place at the FCS headquarters in Suva, where representatives from both organizations were present. Moureen Chand, Vodafone Fiji’s Chief Human Resources Officer, expressed her pride in supporting the FCS’s mission to fight cancer and provide vital services to those affected. She emphasized the significant impact that collaborative efforts between the community and corporations can achieve.

Belinda Chan, CEO of FCS, expressed her gratitude for the generous contribution, asserting it plays an essential role in their mission to support those affected by cancer in Fiji. Chan noted, “Together, we can continue to make a positive impact in our community and help ensure that no one faces this battle alone.”

Vodafone Fiji’s involvement in the Pinktober and Movember campaign reflects its commitment to corporate social responsibility, focusing on creating a positive social impact and promoting a healthier community.

This partnership not only highlights the importance of community support in tackling health issues like cancer but also sets an example of how corporate initiatives can significantly contribute to social causes. As more corporations engage in similar efforts, we can hope for a strengthened support system for those affected by cancer, making a notable difference in the lives of many.
