Two local businesses have collaborated to advocate for a cleaner and healthier environment in Fiji. Vodafone Fiji and Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited have launched a program called ‘I Recycle’ aimed at improving cleanliness and health standards across the nation.
This initiative highlights Vodafone Fiji’s dedication to minimizing its environmental impact and fostering sustainable waste management practices. During the program’s launch at the company’s headquarters in Suva, acting CEO Rajnesh Prasad emphasized the importance of this partnership.
“Through this collaboration, our goal is to establish a cleaner, healthier, and more sustainable Fiji, beginning with our own office in Tamavua,” Mr. Prasad remarked. He noted that working with Waste Recyclers Fiji Limited supports local waste management initiatives and nurtures responsibility and community engagement among employees and customers.
Amitesh Deo, founder of the Pacific Recycling Foundation, conveyed that this program paves the way for greater business participation in sustainable waste management and illustrates how collective efforts can lead to meaningful enhancements for both the environment and society.
