Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation Makes Major Impact at 5th Pacific Conference

The Vodafone ATH Fiji Foundation has made a substantial impact at its 5th Multidisciplinary (Pacific) Conference held at the Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa. The foundation awarded $141,500 to 14 different charities during the event.

The foundation has seen significant growth in recent years, now supporting 100 charities annually through 10 key programs. Altogether, they have invested $50 million in social services, creating strong partnerships with 1000 programme charity partners and an extensive network of collaborators.

Chairman Lionel Yee highlighted that their initiatives are driven by a single mission: “to uplift, empower, and enrich the lives of those we serve.”

The conference, themed “Catalysing Vitality: Innovations and Insights for Sustainable Wellbeing,” addressed the integration of technology, legal frameworks, educational strategies, and community engagement to tackle complex health and societal challenges. Amalgamated Telecomm Holdings Group of Companies CEO, Ivan Fong, served as the chief guest and discussed the objectives of the conference, which included exploring local and Pacific community issues and exchanging ideas to find solutions. He also emphasized the importance of enhancing digital connectivity and implementing digital solutions, social media strategies, and emerging AI technologies to improve efficiency among Pacific NGOs.
