A suspect connected to the incident involving Virgin Australia cabin crew in Nadi has been charged with sexual assault and rape. Law enforcement officials confirmed that the suspect is currently in custody and is set to appear in the Nadi Magistrate Court on Monday.

The alleged incident took place during a layover in Nadi. While authorities have not released detailed information regarding the case, they have assured the public that the investigation is being conducted with both urgency and care.

Virgin Australia has voiced its complete support for the affected crew member, highlighting their dedication to ensuring the safety and well-being of their staff. The impacted crew members have since returned to Australia, with one female crew member having flown back yesterday after reporting the alleged assault, while a male colleague returned after receiving treatment for injuries to his face. Five additional crew members remain in Fiji to support the investigation, adhering to the directives from the airline’s headquarters.
