Viliame Kikau Shines: From Setbacks to Stardom in the NRL

Viliame Kikau, the standout player from the Fiji Bati, has received accolades for his impressive performance during the 2024 NRL season with the Bulldogs, being named the 2024 Dr. George Peponis Medallist. After a challenging previous year where he made only nine appearances, the 30-year-old had one of his best seasons in the NRL, participating in 22 matches. During this time, he scored four tries, assisted in four more, recorded 41 offloads, and broke through defensive lines on ten occasions. Kikau made his international debut for Fiji in 2015, playing against Papua New Guinea in the Melanesian Cup, where he contributed to a 22-10 victory while coming off the interchange bench at Robina Stadium.
