Former Nasinu representative Nitan Kumar scored the lone goal for Rewa Masters in their veterans over 40s final against Nadi Masters in the APCO Coatings/RC Manubhai tournament at HFC Bank Stadium in Suva.
Kumar netted the decisive goal after the Nadi goalkeeper failed to secure the ball in time.
Both teams had scoring chances, but Rewa capitalized on their opportunity to score.
“Last month we secured the Uprising Tournament and this month again. I’m thankful to our players and their families,” said skipper Sudeshwar Ram.
Kumar clinched the Golden Boot after scoring four goals, while Tomasi Tuivuna of Rewa Masters won the Golden Glove. Peter Cecil took home the Golden Ball, and Rewa Masters also received the Fair Play award.
Rewa Masters earned $3000 for their victory, while Nadi Masters received $1000 for reaching the final.
