Nasinu Masters is preparing to face a formidable Rewa Masters team in the first semi-final of the RC Manubhai/Apco Coatings Veterans Tournament for players aged over 45 today. Nasinu secured their place in the top four by defeating My Suva Legends 4-0 in a recent match.

Coach and player Lawrence Robert emphasized the importance of winning this match. He acknowledged the team’s earlier struggles with finishing but expressed confidence that the players have regained their rhythm following yesterday’s victory. “We believe that today we must come back firing and win,” Robert stated.

Nasinu’s team features several former district stars who are expected to lead their efforts in the semi-finals. Robert noted, “We have equally good players in our team, so we are quite confident that we will reach the final.” He highlighted players such as Jalindar Singh from Nasinu, Valero Nasemo from Ba, Mark Rokobulki from Lautoka, Itesh Singh, Binesh Kumar from Nasinu, and Akesh Narain from Navua, all contributing to a strong team dynamic.

In the meantime, Rewa has shown their strength by defeating Suva City Masters 6-0 in their final group match. Coach Patrick Wise remarked, “The team is good; we have former district and national representatives who will hopefully guide us to the finals.”

The semi-final match between Nasinu and Rewa is scheduled for 9:30 AM. The first semi-final featuring JK Nadi against Lautoka Legends will take place at 8:30 AM, with both games held at the Fiji Football Academy ground in Vatuwaqa.
