Veteran Sydney Roosters player Michael Jennings has been named to join the Vodafone Fiji Bati for the upcoming 2024 Pacific Championship. At 36 years old, Jennings previously represented Tonga in the last Rugby League World Cup and brings a wealth of experience to the Bati’s 21-member squad, which is currently dealing with several key player injuries.
Returning to the Bati are Kevin Naiqama, Maika Sivo, Waqa Blake, Tui Kamikamica, and Viliame Kikau, alongside Premiership winner Sunia Turuva. The Fiji Bati will play their first match against the Papua New Guinea Kumuls next week on Saturday, October 19th, at the HFC Bank Stadium, starting at 8:10 PM.
