Veteran Keeper Tamanisau Shines in Bula Boys World Cup Aspiration

Evergreen Labasa goalkeeper Simione Tamanisau has secured a spot in the 29-member extended squad of the Bula Boys for the upcoming matches in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Oceania Qualifiers. The 42-year-old goalkeeper won the Golden Glove award during the 2024 FMF Inter District Championship (IDC) and played a pivotal role in leading the Babasiga Lions to victory in Lautoka.

Joining Tamanisau in the squad are notable players, including in-form striker Christopher Wasasala and reliable defender Sekove Naivakananumi. Additionally, Nadi goalkeeper Joela Biuvanua has been included in the squad, taking the place of Isikeli Sevanaia from Rewa, who has been dropped due to disciplinary reasons.

The team is scheduled to commence their training camp on Sunday, October 29, at the Fiji FA Academy in Ba.
