Yogesh Karan, the Permanent Secretary for Multi-Ethnic Affairs and Sugar Industry, has announced his resignation, effective from November 1, 2024. Public Service Commission Chairman Luka Rokovada confirmed Karan’s decision, stating that he intends to pursue a career in national and international development with an international organization based in Fiji.
Karan has dedicated over 20 years to the Fijian Government, holding various senior positions. His notable roles include serving as High Commissioner to India, as well as Permanent Secretary for the Office of the Prime Minister and in the areas of Foreign Affairs, Immigration, and the Sugar Industry.
