Veiyasana Providers have emerged victorious in the Fiji Sports Council Under-20 sevens tournament held in Suva, claiming the championship title after a narrow 12-10 win over Ca’au. Coached by Sireli Bobo, this underdog team defied expectations and overcame the tournament favorites to secure their place in the Cup final.

Bobo expressed his gratitude for the chance to compete and emphasized the remarkable effort displayed by his team. “The boys played beyond what I had expected,” he noted, highlighting the challenges faced as they assembled a complete team just hours prior to the competition.

Comprising players from various local teams, including Ba River, High Performance Unit, Queen Victoria School, and Nabua, the Veiyasana Providers were formed to provide opportunities for players who were previously overlooked.
