A passenger was taken to Labasa Hospital following an accident on Sunday where a vehicle lost control and crashed into a house in Buca, Savusavu. The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning, prompting a swift response from local authorities.
According to Acting Divisional Police Commander North, Superintendent of Police Eroni Soqosoqo, the driver and two other passengers were initially taken to Savusavu Subdivisional Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Fortunately, the driver and one passenger were treated and released. However, another passenger required additional medical care and was transferred to Labasa Hospital.
In a positive note, there were no injuries reported from the occupants of the house that was struck by the vehicle, highlighting a fortunate outcome amidst a concerning situation. Police officers responded promptly at the scene to assist the victims, ensuring that they received the necessary support following the accident.
