The Arya Pratinidhi Sabha of Fiji has announced significant strides toward achieving its 2025 goals, specifically in the areas of religious outreach and education. The Sabha has concentrated its efforts on two core objectives, with a primary focus on promoting Vedic values and disseminating knowledge derived from ancient texts.
Patron Pundit Bhuvan Dutt highlighted that education is at the forefront of their mission, as the Sabha works diligently to enhance learning opportunities for children across Fiji. He mentioned that their initiative, known as Ved Prachara, is aimed at propagating Vedic wisdom throughout the nation.
Dutt emphasized the Sabha’s commitment, stating that Pundits have actively engaged with various Samajas in Viti Levu, providing discourses on life and guidance on living in accordance with Vedic principles. He expressed pride in the achievements thus far, noting that the Sabha oversees a range of educational institutions, including preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, and the University of Fiji.
The Sabha’s educational journey began with the establishment of Gurukul Primary School in Saweni, Lautoka in 1918. Over the years, numerous schools have been built with the intent of making education accessible to all, fostering a multiracial environment that ensures equal educational opportunities for every student.
The commitment of the Arya Pratinidhi Sabha to community education reflects a hopeful investment in the future, as it continues to inspire and uplift the community through Vedic teachings and learning.
