“I want to thank the Lord for the successful running of the Vatulele 7s. I’m very pleased and grateful to all the teams that traveled from Viti Levu to participate,” Qionikorolevu stated. This year’s tournament aimed to raise funds for the construction of a new walkway for the Vatulele District School, a project envisioned by Qionikorolevu and tournament treasurer Asesela Naborisi.
Qionikorolevu radiated optimism for the future of the Vatulele 7s, expressing hope that participating teams would return for next year’s competition. He also acknowledged the crucial support from various sponsors who played an essential role in making the tournament possible.

During the presentation of cash prizes, Sitiveni Leseitoga from Mick’s Fiji Tours & Transfers confirmed the company’s commitment to sponsoring the tournament for another year.
This event not only fostered community spirit through sports but also demonstrated a commendable effort towards enhancing educational infrastructure.
In summary, the Vatulele 7s served as a platform not only for showcasing talent in rugby but also for uplifting the local community, illustrating the positive impact of sports in fostering development and unity.
