Varun Karan, the head coach of the Nadroga Stallions, has announced his departure to focus on his family and professional obligations. Kamal Swamy, the former Nadi coach and current technical adviser for Nadroga, is set to assume his coaching duties.
In a conversation with FijiLive, Karan confirmed his resignation, noting the challenge of juggling his coaching responsibilities with personal commitments. “My last tournament with the team was the Fiji FACT. Given my family and work commitments, it’s challenging for me to commute all the way from Nadi in order to support the team effectively,” he disclosed.
While Karan did not rule out potentially resuming his coaching career in the future, his current focus is directed towards his family and day job.
