The Vanuatu Government has announced a suspension of all new applications under the Capital Investment Immigration Plan (CIIP), as confirmed by the new Chairman of the Vanuatu Citizenship Commission (VCC), Charles Maniel. This Citizenship-by-Investment (CBI) program allows foreign investors to gain citizenship through significant contributions to the local economy via approved capital investment projects.
The decision to pause new applications is part of a broader strategy to address issues within the program and reinforce its regulations.
