Uso Tasi rugby club from the Solomon Islands showcased their strength and determination as they triumphed over Naiyalaya with a score of 15-5 in their final pool match at the Super 7s tournament at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka. This win marked their second victory in the tournament, highlighting the team’s fitness and skills as they competed against local rivals.
Carlwyn Tengemoana, the club owner and a former student of Marist Brothers High School, expressed immense pride in the team’s performance, noting the dedication and effort demonstrated by the players on the field. He emphasized the importance of competing in such a prestigious tournament, recognizing it as a significant achievement for the boys and an opportunity for exposure to a higher level of rugby.
“The boys did their best on the field and showed determination,” Tengemoana stated. “It’s great to come here to witness some great rugby action; getting a chance to play in this tournament is a big achievement for the boys.”
Guided by their coach, the renowned Rupeni Caucau, the team had prepared thoroughly, cultivating a strong team spirit. Tengemoana praised the players for their hard work and dedication, expressing optimism for future successes.
