Gurjit Singh’s coached USA Island Boys have secured their spot in the Over 40s grade semifinal of the Rams Group of Companies 10th Sanatan World Cup held in Sydney. The team triumphed over Labasa, winning 2-1 in the quarterfinal match today.
Labasa took the lead with a goal from Deepak Chand, ending the first half 1-0. However, the Island Boys mounted a strong comeback, with Viren Singh equalizing midway through the second half. Lawrence Dutt then scored the decisive goal, securing the team’s victory.
