USA All-Stars Snatch Victory in Thrilling Pacific Cup Clash

The USA All-Stars earned a vital three points in the Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup with a narrow 1-0 victory over the NZFFI Auckland All-Stars during Day Two of the competition held at Churchill Park.

The match was intensely contested, with both teams unable to find the back of the net in the first half, which ended in a scoreless draw after 30 minutes of action. However, the USA All-Stars came back stronger in the second half, where Javies Mariana scored the winning goal in the 35th minute. The team held on to their lead with solid defensive play, bringing their points total to four after two days of competition.

On Day One of the tournament, Lautoka FC triumphed over the Manukau All-Stars with a score of 4-2, while the NZFFI Auckland All-Stars narrowly defeated Rewa FC 2-1. The AuFFI All-Stars also secured a last-minute victory, edging Navua FC by 2-1. Additionally, in the opening fixture, the USA All-Stars and Labasa FC ended in a 1-1 draw.

Today’s schedule features an exciting lineup, starting with Rewa FC facing off against the USA All-Stars at 3 PM, followed by Navua FC versus the NZFFI Manukau All-Stars at 4:15 PM. Labasa FC will clash with the NZFFI Auckland All-Stars at 5:30 PM, and the day wraps up with Lautoka FC taking on the AuFFI Australia All-Stars at 6:45 PM. The tournament will culminate with the finals tomorrow.
