The USA All Stars have become the first team to advance to the semi-finals of the Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup following a narrow 1-0 victory over Extra Supermarket Rewa FC in their final Group B match at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

The winning goal was scored by Donevan Lescott, who delivered an impressive 40-meter shot in the first half that secured the lead for the All Stars. Earlier in the match, Rewa had a chance to score but missed a pivotal penalty taken by Tevita Warainivalu in the 17th minute—a missed opportunity that could have changed the outcome of the game.

Head coach Imone Mohanta praised his team’s performance and reiterated their ambition for the tournament. “We are here to win this tournament and take home the cup,” Mohanta declared. He acknowledged the team’s slow start due to jet lag in their opening game but noted significant improvement in their subsequent performances.

With their eyes firmly set on the trophy, the USA All Stars seem poised to make a strong impact in the upcoming semi-finals.

This triumph not only demonstrates the team’s resilience and skill but also sets a hopeful tone for their future matches. The All Stars are clearly a team on the rise, and fans have much to look forward to as they continue their quest for victory in the tournament.
