The USA All Stars have clinched their place in the semi-finals of the Flick Hygiene Pacific Community Cup after a narrow 1-0 victory over Extra Supermarket Rewa FC in their final Group B match held at Churchill Park, Lautoka.

The match’s turning point occurred in the first half when Donevan Lescott scored an incredible goal from 40 meters, giving the USA All Stars an early lead. Rewa, on the other hand, had a missed opportunity to score when Tevita Warainivalu failed to convert a penalty in the 17th minute—a moment that would haunt the team as the match progressed.

Imone Mohanta, head coach of the USA All Stars, expressed his pride in the team’s performance and outlined their aspirations for the tournament. “We are here to win this tournament and take home the cup,” Mohanta declared. He reflected on the team’s initial struggles due to jet lag and a slow start in their first match but noted significant improvements in their subsequent games.

As they gear up for the semi-finals, the USA All Stars are emerging as strong contenders for the title, showing a remarkable capacity to adapt and overcome challenges.

This impressive journey not only marks a significant achievement for the USA All Stars but also emphasizes the resilience and determination of teams involved in high-stakes tournaments. With unwavering confidence and a stronger game plan, the USA All Stars can inspire other teams while aiming for championship glory.
