Energy Fiji Limited has announced a scheduled power outage for today, November 25, to conduct essential maintenance on power lines. This shutdown will take place across various regions, depending on weather conditions.
In Labasa, power will be unavailable from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM in areas including Naduna, Nagigi No.11, Nagigi Primary School, and along Waigele Airport Road from Wailevu Village Junction to Wailevu Solove Junction. Other affected locations include Wailevu Solove, Gopis Minimart, the Diagnostic and Specialist Medical Wailevu Centre, Tee Mariners Shop, and Smile Stores investment.
In Nasese, the outage will last from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, covering the entire Domain Road, Allardyce Road, Jackson Street, Mahatey Drive, Barton Place, Imthurn Road, Seymour Drive, O’Brien Road, Pacific Islands Development Forum, Walesi Head Office, South Point Lodge, Royal British Legion Community, Live and Learn Fiji, and Berkley Crescent.
Savusavu residents will experience a power cut from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, impacting Nacekoro and Tavulomo.
In Nadi, the power shutdown will take effect from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, affecting the whole of Nawaka, Nawaka Village, parts of Kerebula, Alla Dutta Road, the Lolobalavu Reservoir, Taci, Vatutu Village, Togo Lavusa Road, Togo Bhartiya School, and Naicaracara.
EFL advises all residents to treat power lines as live, as they may be energized unexpectedly.
