Authored independently by renowned rugby commentator Greg Clark and seasoned sports journalist Norman Tasker, the book is titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation.” It provides fans with an inside perspective on the inspiring story that has been 25 years in the making.
“The Rise of the Drua” details the assembly of the team during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic and its impressive rise in Super Rugby Pacific. The narrative highlights both the challenges and successes encountered by the Club, players, and staff as they navigated relocations and ultimately returned to Fiji.
From its beginnings to significant achievements on the field, the book honors the players, coaches, staff, sponsors, and passionate fans who have quickly made the Drua a beloved team in the competition.
The book showcases the passion, perseverance, and pride that have shaped their journey, featuring exclusive interviews, unexpected revelations, previously unseen photographs, and behind-the-scenes stories that animate the Drua’s narrative.
