Unveiling the Journey: Discover the Story Behind Fiji’s Rugby Phenomenon

The Fijian Drua has unveiled a new book titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” authored by well-known rugby commentator Greg Clark alongside experienced sports writer Norman Tasker.

This book chronicles the history and growth of the Drua over the last 25 years, focusing on its establishment during the COVID-19 pandemic and its ascent in the Super Rugby Pacific competition.

The story captures the difficulties faced by the team, including the relocation of players and staff, culminating in their eventual return to Fiji. It pays tribute to the resilience and commitment of all those associated with the Drua, from players and coaches to sponsors and fans, who are celebrated as some of the finest globally.

Beyond detailing the Drua’s athletic success, the book conveys the enthusiasm and spirit that have driven the team. It includes exclusive interviews, insights, and previously unpublished photographs, offering a comprehensive look at the Drua’s journey.

The book is set to be released on October 11th and will be available at various retailers. The paperback edition is priced at FJ$35, while the hardback version will cost FJ$50.
