Unveiling the Heartbeat of Fijian Rugby: “The Rise of the Drua”

The Fijian Drua has announced the release of a new book titled “The Rise of the Drua – How A Rugby Dream Captivated A Nation,” authored by well-known rugby commentator Greg Clark and experienced sports writer Norman Tasker.

This book delves into the establishment and growth of the club over the past 25 years, detailing its formation during the COVID-19 pandemic and its impressive ascent in the Super Rugby Pacific league.

The story captures the team’s arduous journey, focusing on the relocation of players and staff and their triumphant return to Fiji. It serves as a heartfelt homage to the resilience and commitment of everyone associated with the team, including players, coaches, sponsors, and fans, who are celebrated as among the finest in the world.

In addition to recounting the Drua’s sporting accomplishments, the book also expresses the enthusiasm and spirit that fuel their achievements. It includes exclusive interviews, insights, and behind-the-scenes anecdotes, along with unique photographs that have not been published before.

Scheduled for release on October 11th, the book will be sold at various retail outlets, priced at FJ$35 for the paperback edition and FJ$50 for the hardback version.
