Unveiling the Future: Join the South Pacific Tourism Exchange 2025!

Registrations have officially launched for the 9th South Pacific Tourism Exchange (SPTE), scheduled for May 9-10, 2025, at the luxurious Crowne Plaza Fiji Nadi Bay Resort & Spa, located in the vibrant tourism area of Nadi, Fiji. This event is recognized as the largest and most exciting tourism gathering in the Pacific, inviting all tourism operators and stakeholders to participate.

Under the theme “Unity in Diversity: Exploring the Pacific’s Hidden Gems,” SPTE 2025 aims to attract over 150 international visitors, promising to be a unique gathering. Organized by the Pacific Tourism Organisation (SPTO) in partnership with Fiji’s Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation (MTCA), this event presents an excellent opportunity for sellers from across the Pacific to showcase their offerings to a global audience.

The exchange will include a diverse mix of national tourism offices, inbound tour operators, airlines, hoteliers, resort owners, transport operators, and providers of activities and shore excursions from SPTO’s 20 member countries. Attendees can expect to meet representatives from popular destinations such as American Samoa, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, French Polynesia, and many others.

In addition to sellers, international buyers including travel wholesalers, agencies, planners, and online travel agencies (OTAs) from over 25 key global markets—including Australia, New Zealand, North America, the UK, Europe, China, and other parts of Asia—are set to gather in Fiji to establish partnerships with Pacific tourism providers.

SPTO Chief Executive Officer Christopher Cocker has also welcomed sponsorship from Fiji Airways and Rosie Holiday, reaffirming their commitment to revitalizing tourism in the Pacific region. Mr. Cocker emphasized that SPTE offers sellers a chance to connect with international buyers and promote the unique and authentic experiences that the Pacific region is known for.

“It serves as a one-stop shop for buyers to discover new and exciting opportunities to enhance their travel offerings,” Mr. Cocker stated.

He invites everyone to join in May 2025 and engage in this dynamic showcase that highlights the diversity of cultures and tourism experiences in the Pacific. He added that the opening of registrations on October 18, 2024, represents a pivotal moment, enhancing global visibility for the Pacific’s tourism sector and fostering valuable collaborations.

SPTE 2025 aims to deliver more than just business opportunities; it seeks to cultivate lasting relationships, cultural exchange, and sustainable tourism development throughout the Pacific. The event will place a strong emphasis on the importance of preserving the region’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, ensuring that the unique essence of the Pacific is maintained.
