Members of the media gathered outside the Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) office this morning, where they were filmed and photographed by an unidentified person from the third floor of the building. Reporters and photographers from a variety of media organizations were on site, anticipating an update regarding the charges against Charlie Charters.

A staff member from the Fiji Times noticed the individual, who appeared to be using a phone to record the media representatives below. Upon becoming aware that their actions were being observed, the individual quickly withdrew from sight. The identity and intentions of the person filming remain unclear.

Meanwhile, Mr. Charters was charged by FICAC earlier today and subsequently presented in court. The ongoing developments highlight the continued focus on transparency and accountability within Fiji’s institutions, reflecting a commitment to addressing corruption in the public sector.
