Education Minister Aseri Radrodro has emphasized the paramount importance of the second term in the academic year as schools reopen. He highlighted that this term is critical for comprehensive syllabus coverage, completing Year 12 and Year 13 projects, and preparing for crucial external examinations.

Radrodro urged students to embrace the challenges ahead, actively engage in their studies, and remember that their current efforts will shape their future. “Your dedication now paves the way for future success,” he stated.

Additionally, he expressed appreciation for teachers, acknowledging their vital role in shaping students’ success. He encouraged educators to inspire curiosity, creativity, and resilience in their classrooms, explaining that they serve as mentors and role models that significantly influence youth values and attitudes.

These sentiments align with previous statements from Radrodro, where he extended his best wishes and support to students preparing for external examinations, emphasizing that this period is an opportunity for them to showcase their hard work and resilience. The Fiji Year 13 Certificate Examination is currently taking place from October 28 to November 8, while the Year 12 Certificate Examination is scheduled from November 12 to November 22, 2024.

Radrodro has consistently called for enhanced collaboration among teachers, parents, and students to promote a supportive educational environment, indicating a hopeful outlook for academic progress in Fiji. His commitment to fostering innovation and accountability within the education sector aims to uplift standards and create a positive academic culture for all students.
