A three-day workshop bringing together all the roko tui and provincial council chairmen to discuss pressing issues in their provinces started yesterday.
Minister for iTaukei Affairs Ifereimi Vasu emphasised to the attendees the importance of unity and cooperation.
“This workshop is crucial for us to come together, share our experiences and address the challenges we face in our provinces,” Mr Vasu said. “It is only through cooperation that we can achieve meaningful progress for our people.”
He highlighted the ministry’s commitment to supporting the roko tui and ensuring their voices were heard.
“The Ministry of iTaukei Affairs is dedicated to providing the necessary support and resources to our leaders,” he said. “This workshop is just one example of our efforts to strengthen the bond between the ministry and the provincial councils.”
A key outcome of the workshop is the development of a collective action plan aimed at addressing the most critical issues in the 14 provinces.
“I am confident that with the continued cooperation and dedication of our roko tui, we will be able to overcome the challenges and improve the lives of our people,” Mr Vasu said.
