Uniting for Change: Global Leaders Tackle Urgent Challenges at Forum

The global community is currently facing unprecedented challenges such as poverty, violence, biodiversity loss, climate change, health crises, and development issues.

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka shared these insights during the Forum Leaders Dialogue at the Tonga High School Indoor Stadium, attended by the UN Secretary-General.

Rabuka emphasized that the diverse and urgent threats facing the world today reflect significant changes occurring globally, asserting that collective action is the only effective response.

He highlighted the importance of robust international cooperation, diplomacy, and commitment to upholding the principles of the United Nations.

UN Secretary-General António Guterres reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to the Pacific Islands, assuring, “You can be confident that every member of the UN staff working in your countries will be committed to community-based and people-centered solutions.”
