Unexpected Visit from PM: A Glimpse into Radrodro’s Journey

Spread the love

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka made an unexpected visit to the home of former parliamentarian Salote Radrodro in Namulomulo, Nabouwalu, Bua, yesterday. This visit was notable as it was the first opportunity to meet Ms. Radrodro following her release from prison earlier this September.

During his visit, Mr. Rabuka took the opportunity to discuss the operations and current status of the copra industry. His stop at Ms. Radrodro’s residence came in conjunction with other key locations he was visiting related to the China Aid Vanua Levu Road Development Project.

Salote Radrodro’s son, Alipate, expressed appreciation for the Prime Minister’s visit and noted that the family had previously had the chance to converse with him a few days prior to New Year’s. He conveyed hopes for a safe and prosperous New Year and toward 2025.

The visit surprised Ms. Radrodro’s family, who received the Prime Minister after attending a church service. Ms. Radrodro expressed her good wishes for Mr. Rabuka and the Coalition Government as they move into the New Year.

This visit demonstrates the Prime Minister’s commitment to engaging with the community and underscores the importance of the copra industry in the region. It also signifies a spirit of unity and hope for a better future as they all look forward to the possibilities that the New Year brings.

Overall, this incident highlights a moment of connection between political leadership and the community, fostering a sense of optimism and shared goals moving forward.
