Unexpected PM Visit: What It Means for Bua’s Community

Spread the love

Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka made an unexpected visit to former parliamentarian Salote Radrodro at her home in Namulomulo, Nabouwalu, Bua, yesterday. This visit held particular significance as it was Ms. Radrodro’s first interaction with the Prime Minister following her release from prison earlier this September.

During his visit, Mr. Rabuka took the opportunity to gain insights into the copra industry and its current operations. His visit coincided with his tour of vital sites related to the China Aid Vanua Levu Road Development Project.

Alipate Radrodro, Ms. Radrodro’s son, expressed gratitude towards the Prime Minister for the visit, sharing that they had the chance to engage in conversation just days before the New Year. He conveyed hopes for a safe and prosperous New Year and 2025.

The family was pleasantly surprised by the Prime Minister’s visit, which took place shortly after a local church service. Ms. Radrodro extended her best wishes to PM Rabuka and the Coalition Government as they approach the New Year.

This visit highlights the importance of community engagement and support among political leaders and constituents, especially during transitional periods. It also demonstrates a commitment to understanding local industries and their challenges, fostering relationships that could lead to collaborative efforts for growth and development.

As we welcome the New Year, this interaction provides hope for ongoing dialogue and support within the community.
