Western Division Team Two triumphed in the 2024 Fiji Police Inter-District Soccer Competition, defeating favored Police Mobile Force with a score of 1-0 in the final held at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori yesterday.
Entering the match as underdogs, Western Two faced a PMF squad filled with national and district representatives. The decisive goal came from Lautoka and national team striker Sairusi Nalaubu during extra time, securing the championship for the Western team.
After the match, the victorious team was awarded a trophy along with shopping vouchers from Extra Supermarket. Additionally, the Police soccer team for the upcoming Sukuna Bowl next month was announced following the conclusion of the final.
