Nasinu defeated football giants Ba 1-0 on their home ground in Round 12 of the Digicel Fiji Premier League, thanks to a clever set piece play that Adriu Nabose scored from.

Nasinu took the early lead in the 11th minute of play when young Maikah Dau delivered a free-kick to Solomon Islander Don Keana in the attacking third.

Keana then set up Nabose, who easily tapped the ball in for the goal.

There was also tension at the Fiji FA Ba Academy grounds when Nasinu’s Savenaca Nakalevu threw punches at Kalaveti Sivoi and attempted to engage with the fans, resulting in his red card.

Despite having a numerical advantage, Ba couldn’t capitalize. The score was 1-0 at halftime.

In the second half, Ba made multiple substitutions, but their situation worsened when Sivoi also received a red card in the 65th minute.

With both teams reduced to 10 men, the score remained 1-0 until the final whistle.
