WAIKATO Rapids have solidified their position as the only unbeaten team in the OFC Futsal Championship, successfully qualifying for the top two final on Sunday after a decisive victory over the host team, Suva FC. The match showcased the Rapids’ offensive strength, with standout performances leading to a 6-3 scoreline.
Goalkeeper Kitione Baleloa had a busy night, displaying commendable skills even as the Rapids did not push themselves to full capacity. The scoring was spearheaded by Aran Carter, who not only found the net himself but also contributed to an own goal that added to Suva’s tally. George Dixon was particularly prolific, netting two goals, with additional contributions from Aidan Robson, Keenan Howard, and Casey Sharplin.
