Ukrainian boxing icon Vyacheslav Uzelkov has passed away at the age of 45. Renowned for his impressive light heavyweight career, Uzelkov boasted a remarkable record of 30 victories out of 34 fights, which included 19 knockouts. He held several prestigious titles, including the WBA Inter-Continental, IBO International, and WBO Inter-Continental light heavyweight championships.
His untimely death occurred during his recovery from heart surgery, a fact that brings a somber tone to his illustrious career. The Ukrainian Boxing Federation shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram, expressing their sorrow over the loss and recognizing Uzelkov’s significant impact on the sport.
