This announcement was made by UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan during a recent meeting with Fiji’s President, Ratu Naiqama Lalabalavu, in Abu Dhabi.
President Lalabalavu praised the transformative journey of the UAE, which has evolved from a resource-limited desert nation to a global leader in innovation, prosperity, and clean energy. He noted Fiji’s own vast potential for generating solar and renewable energy due to its rich natural resources.
In a positive response to this relationship, President Nahyan emphasized the UAE’s commitment to supporting Fiji’s ambitions in renewable energy and climate resilience.
