Two women are currently in police custody following their arrests on separate burglary charges in Nadi and Lautoka.
Police officers on patrol noticed one of the suspects acting suspiciously along Naviti Street and subsequently approached her for questioning. She was then taken to the Lautoka Market Police Post for further investigation.
During the initial inquiries, information obtained led officers to locate and arrest the second suspect near Vitogo Parade. A search of both women revealed a collection of electronic devices, cash, and other items believed to have been stolen amid the recent burglaries in both towns.
Authorities have confirmed that investigations are ongoing, and both suspects remain in detention as they work to uncover further details related to these incidents. This proactive response underscores the efforts of local police to address crime and enhance community safety.
