Two men in their late twenties have been formally charged with aggravated robbery after an alleged burglary at a residence in Tamavua last month. The suspects, aged 29 and 27, are accused of breaking into the home of a 46-year-old man on October 30, where they reportedly stole cash, a mobile phone, and various personal belongings before fleeing the scene.

Following their apprehension last week, the two men appeared in Suva Magistrates Court on November 4 to face the charges. The court has since ordered that both remain in custody until their next court appearance scheduled for November 18.

This incident sheds light on the ongoing efforts by law enforcement to combat the increasing occurrences of home invasions in the region. Authorities are actively working to enhance community safety, and it is hoped that swift action in cases like this will deter future crimes.

In summary, the recent charges against these individuals may serve as a reminder of the importance of vigilance and community collaboration in enhancing safety. The focus on addressing home invasions suggests a determined response from local authorities to protect citizens and reduce fear in the neighborhoods.
