Fiji Bati fullback Sunia Turuva concluded his time with the Panthers in remarkable fashion, scoring a try and contributing to the reigning champions’ victory over the Storm with a score of 14-6, securing their fourth consecutive NRL title.
Turuva, known for his speed, scored the Panthers’ first try in the final after the Storm had taken an early lead through Harry Grant. Liam Martin then received a clever pass from Nathan Cleary and capitalized by diving over the try line, giving the Panthers a 10-6 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, Penrith centre Paul Alamoti added the only points with an unconverted try, keeping the excitement alive for over 80,000 fans in attendance.
