Turuva Shines in Panthers’ Grand Final Triumph!

Fiji Bati fullback Sunia Turuva concluded his season with the Penrith Panthers on a high note, scoring a vital try that helped the defending champions secure their fourth consecutive title. The Panthers defeated the Melbourne Storm 14-6 in the Grand Final.

Turuva made his presence felt early in the match, scoring the first try for the Panthers after the Storm had taken an early 6-0 lead through a try from Harry Grant. Turuva’s unconverted try in the 26th minute reduced the Storm’s lead to 6-4.

The Panthers continued to press offensively, and just before halftime, Liam Martin scored off a clever pass from Nathan Cleary, putting the Panthers ahead 10-6 at halftime. In the second half, Paul Alamoti extended the lead with another unconverted try, bringing the Panthers closer to claiming another championship.

The Storm fought hard in the second half, but the Panthers’ strong defense remained unyielding until the end, securing their victory and highlighting Turuva’s impressive contribution to their successful title defense.
