Fiji Bati fullback Sunia Turuva concluded his time with the Panthers in an impressive fashion last night, scoring a try to help the reigning champions secure a 14-6 victory over the Storm, marking their fourth consecutive NRL title.
Turuva, who is set to join the Wests Tigers next season, opened the scoring for the Panthers after the Storm initially took the lead with a try from Harry Grant.
Liam Martin added to the Panthers’ tally with a clever pass from Nathan Cleary, diving over the try line to give his team a 10-6 advantage at halftime.
In the second half, Penrith centre Paul Alamoti scored the only points with an unconverted try, keeping the excitement alive for over 80,000 fans in attendance.
