Turuva Shines as Panthers Claim Fourth Straight Title

Fiji Bati fullback Sunia Turuva wrapped up his season with the Penrith Panthers in outstanding fashion, scoring a key try that helped the team secure their fourth consecutive title. The Panthers triumphed over the Melbourne Storm with a score of 14-6 in the Grand Final.

Turuva, who will be joining the Wests Tigers for the upcoming season, made a significant impact by scoring the Panthers’ first try in the final. Although the Storm began with an early 6-0 advantage thanks to a try from Harry Grant, Turuva’s unconverted try in the 26th minute reduced the gap to 6-4.

The Panthers kept up their attacking efforts, and just before halftime, Liam Martin took advantage of a clever pass from Nathan Cleary to score, putting the Panthers ahead 10-6 at the break.

In the second half, Paul Alamoti added an unconverted try, increasing the lead for the defending champions as they moved closer to another title. The Storm continued to press forward throughout the second half, but the Panthers’ strong defense held strong until the end, securing their victory and highlighting Turuva’s impressive role in their title defense.
