Turtle Island Resort has made a charitable contribution by donating a boat to transport students to and from school in the Yasawa Group. The vessel was presented to the elders of Matacawalevu Village.
The resort highlighted in a social media post that there was a significant need for a larger boat that could safely accommodate more students and keep them dry during rainy conditions or rough seas.
Witnessing the students’ excitement during the boat’s inaugural trip was a heartwarming experience, as they made a stop at Turtle Island on their journey home, joyfully wearing their lifejackets.
Turtle Island Resort expressed gratitude for the chance to collaborate with the chief and the parents’ committee of Matacawalevu.
